• 2021 | The Glasgow Climate Pact - COP26 - Glasgow

    content

Pledges made in Glasgow fail to meet the Paris agreement goals, putting the world on course for 2.6°C warming by the end of the century. By next year, parties are however expected to improve their 2030 national targets. As countries failed to meet the 2020 target of providing $100bn annually until 2025 to support developing countries, they committed to raise at least that amount annually, through to 2025. The Glasgow Climate Pact is the first agreement asking countries to phase down unabated coal power and to end inefficient fossil fuel subsidies.
