A society that protects its environment: "By 2050, the objective of a healthy environment will have been achieved. It will have taken the necessary measures to prevent, or if not, to adjust the environmental impact caused by human activities: total warming will be limited and will not exceed 1.5 to 2 °C in the long term."

Belgium's domestic emissions of greenhouse gases will be reduced by at least 80 to 95% in 2050 compared to their 1990 level.
